Margate home stands out
By KIM RAYMOND for The Press

Walls of Windows and Fine Finishes Create a Refined Setting
He tailors each of his architectural projects to suit his clients'. Does the home make you happy?" Kiejdan said.
The Kiejdans' great room includes marble Italian tiles and a archway that leads to the dining room. Kiejdan favors archways, and uses them quite frequently throughout the home. He explained that this arch "designs the space, creating a picture frame for the dining room.

An intersting detail of the dinning room involves the dinning room set, a gift from Fern Kiejdan's parents nd more than 40 years old.The dinning room chairs are mixed; some are burlmwood with stripped fabric seats and some are completely upholstered. the overall effect is interesting and indicative of Fern Kiejdan's flair for decorating.
Nowhere is her creativity more evident than in the downstairs powder room, where she has matched a Kohler octagonal black sink with black wrought iron faucets and shelves.
The sink is set in a rust-toned marble background, which rests on sturdy black legs. The legs look like short black columns. Fern explained that they are actually bird bath ornaments painted black.

Spiral Stairs
Upstairs past the spacious family quarters, in it's own hallway are spiral stairs that wind around to an observation deck."We're in the hip room now, " Kiejdan said. "There are plenty of planes and angles here."
It is here that Kiejdan built a samll room thast holds the hot water heater.
"I don't like to use potential living space for mechanical euipment, "he said.
Outside this uppermost room, a deck invites family and friends alike to sit and relax in the evening, gazing at neighbors' rooftops and a tantalizing glimpse of the Atlantic City skyline.
With 25 years buildo\ing experience, robert Kiejdan can look with satisfication on his own home as a job well done, a credit to his talent and his skill.
